Moroccan Vintage Vase/Rif Pottery, W.3

£60.00

1 in stock

These Moroccan vintage vases were traditionally used as a water jug or as seasonal storage for all kinds of products; cereals, olive oil, figs, etc. This tradition of pottery comes from the northern reaches of Morocco, nestled amidst the rugged beauty of the Rif mountains and it is the women who bear the torch of this ancient Berber art form.

Characterised by intricate geometric motifs, meticulously crafted using goat hair dipped in rich black (manganese) and red (iron oxide) mineral pigments, these vintage vessels are perfect as a vase for dried flowers or as a decorative object.

Choosing handmade design means actively supporting local artisans and craftsmen who pour their heart and soul into their work.
